So you have a Facebook page for your business. Now what?
If you haven’t already, invite all of your personal Facebook friends to like your page and share your new page on your own timeline. Ask coworkers, family and friends if you can share your page on their timelines as well. You can also send invites out to your email contacts through Facebook. All this can be done with the Build Audience drop down menu on top of the Admin Panel.
Don’t forget to have a link to your Facebook fan page on your other social media platforms and add the Facebook Like Box to your business website! Using like boxes makes it easy for people to find your fan page and like it directly from your website. Get the Like Box code here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/like-box-for-pages
Not only do you want people to like your page, you want your fans to ENGAGE with your posts (liking, commenting, and sharing). When this happens, the post will show up in News Feeds – Facebook rewards the most engaging posts by placing them at the top of your followers News Feeds increasing the number of people you reach!
Types of posts that generate engagement:

Photos and videos: Bright, colorful images depicting human interaction are particularly successful. These could be photos of new products or people enjoying their experience with your product or service.
Questions: Asking questions encourages interaction and tells people their opinions matter. When you ask for feedback or thoughts, make sure to respond in the comments so people know you’re listening.
Fill-on-the-blank: Inspire engagement with a status like, “What I am looking forward to most about summer is ____.”
Caption Contest: Post a picture and ask people to come up with the best caption. Maybe the winner gets a coupon or gift certificate or gift basket of beauty products. Be creative!

Events: Create events let people know about new products or services. When someone RSVPs to your event, it will create a story in their friends’ News Feeds creating organic promotion. Give them an incentive to RSVP.
